The Volunteer Sponsorship Program
Date: May to August 2010
Details: The volunteer sponsorship program is a unique fundraising initiative, created by our 2008 summer team, that focuses on our dedicated and hardworking volunteers. Each year we bring around 30 of our volunteers with us to Camp Wabikon for a relaxing and fun-filled week at camp. Without the contribution of these volunteers, this week would not be such a success year after year. There is a significant cost incurred by sending these volunteers to camp, but since we are so thankful to them for the time they donate to Sunrise we do not ask them to cover the cost of this trip. By sponsoring a volunteer, community partners and Sunrise families can contribute to our week-long camp and send a huge thank-you to the volunteers who make Sunrise a possibility. The cost per day is $44 and sponsors can choose to sponsor one day or the entire week - every contribution makes a difference in the lives of our members! |
